when i first saw you
you were an angel in my sight
without words
you made me feel the goodness in your heart

across the sea
you were in my mind
no clue why i wanted so much
to share just then the sacred place i was in

we weren't even friends
not until our paths had crossed again
we finally had our moment
heard you were unattached

but soon it was no longer true
and what gets even better
we started knowing each other
being more acquainted and realizing my intuitions were true

now i asked God
what is the sense of meeting you in this life
when i know then you are in someone else's arms
and in my own limited mind you can never be mine
